SES offers a flexible support service across various areas of enterprise including traditional and social models. Our intensive support ethos is delivered across various stages of the enterprise journey:
Pre Pre-Start: We address and assist in overcoming early stage barriers that prevent you progessing with your business idea. Planning ahead, considering what skills and changes you may need to make to start your business plans as well as taking into account the impact on your personal life is assisted through
Starting Up: Getting the basics right is essential, SES ensures you can access support to give your enterprise the best start possible, including taxation, national Insurance & marketing support. Aside from the practicalities of start up, we have a wealth of experience in assisting your change of circumstances. Whether that is coming out of employment into your venture or entering it from being long term, out of work, we can support you through this transition period.
Aftercare: Our support team aims to build trust and long term relationships with clients, looking to maintain ongoing support after you have started trading in you new venture.



Our Recent Projects:
'Just the Job' (Working Neighbourhoods Fund) Sunderland - Most recently SES has delivered over 300 business start ups under the Working Neighbourhoods Programme across Sunderland since April 2009. Our support can be accessed through our advisor network of Enterprise Talent Scouts and Business Start Up Workers across the City.
ERDF -Newcastle Enteprise Package - is a programme of support funded by ERDF and WNF designed to improve city wide co-ordination between different specialist providers of support. SES role in the Enterprise Package is to support and encourage Community and Voluntary Sector Organisations to explore their social enterprise and trading opportunities
Basis Specialist Support Services - a Big Lottery funded project which aims to coordinate and deliver services that meet the needs of both frontline groups and the infrastructure bodies that support them. As part of the SSS project SES is working across the region to provide a range of business development advice and awareness raising workshops which promotes the benefits of social entrepreneurial activity within the voluntary and community sector.
